A few days last summer I got very obsessed with the act of writing. I just wanted to write and write without having to think. So I dedicated one of my notebooks to what I felt was the writer’s version of drawing from life. So I wrote whatever I heard on TV. It was so therapeutic, because I didn’t have to think, just write and write and write.
