My hour drawing is finished. It’s more or less official: it takes 12-13 hours to complete these ink drawings on A3 paper. People always ask me and it’s so hard to keep track of time when I’m working. So now you have a reference point.

I just bought a new sketchbook because I miss my spiral sketchbook. Visually I loved the way it looked scanned and online. The only thing that really irks me with these new sketchbooks is the perforations. I don’t want my pages perforated! And it’s always something I forget to check for.

I’ve decided that I want this picture to be done for Halloween. It’s one of the saddest times of year for me, in the shallowest way possible; Halloween being my favorite occasion without a place to go and people who really appreciate it.

I’m a little disappointed at not finishing the dress. I did try to sketch as fast as I could. It’ll have to be done in the next one-hour session.

There’s something about a tightly-niched blog that really turns me on. I get especially titillated by the sexiness of steampunk , such as early twentieth century aviator goggles, antique typewriters and in this case: corsets. This morning I visited Back to Busk which inspired these sketches.
