Well, the painting is done. I’m happy with it as my first oil painting in decades. I’m not going to bother too much about resemblance or even technique. I’m just going to tell myself what I tell everyone I ‘teach’: You will only get better with every painting you do. Oils. Wow. Me.

I don’t think it’ll be too long before I finish this one. And I still don’t have a name for it. I’ve been listening to a lot of Elbow while painting it. Maybe something from their songs although I don’t like to be too literal or derivative when naming my paintings.
