I started a new painting today. I’ve done hundreds of paintings and I’m always a little stuck at first. It seems that I have a different approach to every empty canvas. I have to keep reminding myself to just relax and enjoy it.

Brilliant. Loving it so far. I love the composition. It feels very intimate without being overly intrusive.

you know, you describe it quite accurately. one of the feelings i have when i’m in bed and my laptop’s on my lap is one of extreme intimacy with my world. when i was done with the composition, rather than feel that she was boxed in, i felt a certain cosiness through her, a secure comfort.
