kiss & cut } inverse and obverse
Last night I had an idea to inverse a section of one of my recent journal entries, many of which are white on black, producing a negative effect. I often accidentally press ‘command i’ (invert) instead of ‘option command i’ (resize image); the effect of which, although always undone, is quite pleasing. To me, a negative print is very mysterious and magical. So I thought, why not try it the other way around, take the mystery out of my drawing? See what it looks like ‘in real life’, extract the fact from the fantasy. So I did.
I don’t know. Yawn?

although i feel like i’ve uncovered a hidden message by inverting the image, i fear the mystery is gone

To be honest, what is far more intriguing to me is your thinking process and that you care enough to share it with me. Everything you do is so delightfully open and personal. I can almost feel the warm mug in my hand from the coffee I’m sipping across the table from you.

It makes a huge difference. Light and dark are two very different people. Hmmm.
